I’ve been saying it for months now and only kicking myself for not investing more in commodities when the writing was clearly spelled out. The spending of TRILLIONS OF DOLLARS on non-production cannot end in any other way and I think this is only the begging of the start. Have any of you seen food prices recently? CPI numbers are heavily cooked and even there, the government is admitting a 5.6% rise in just 6 months. Keep in mind that general food prices are LOWER in the summer!
My feed is full of people clamoring for extension to unemployment payments, artificial cost of living adjustments, and other such nonsense. How did we allow entire generations to grow up without any concept of how basic economics function?? The DOW is “up”, but only because hedge fund managers are terrified of holding onto any cash and adjusted for inflation we’re still in a very-very deep hole.
